Florida Newsroom Swoons Over Owen Wilson & Eric Dane
As Owen Wilson and Eric Dane continue filming Marley & Me at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the newspaper's staff is offering their own insider's view of being so close to the spotlight of Hollywood.

Columnist Ralph De La Cruz, who is working as an extra on the film – which is based on the best-selling book by former Sun-Sentinel columnist John Grogan – has found the experience less than glamorous.

"Once you're on set, you can't leave. Because you could be called at any moment," he wrote Thursday. "It's like being on jury duty. Except the people are friendlier. The pay is slightly better ($100). And food and drinks are free."

In one scene, he and fellow staffer Kathy Laskowski, who was Marley’s former dog-sitter, were “pantomine talking” as Wilson and Dane walked past. “We fake-chatted and sat,” he wrote. “Fake-chatted and sat. I looked across the newsroom to the office of our editor and there was Alan Arkin, doing the same thing. Standing. Waiting."

Laskowski, who is featured in the book, was more excited. "I'm totally into this," Laskowski told Cruz. "It's almost like this is my movie."

'McSteamy Was Checking My Butt Out'

Another staffer, Miami Beach fashion photographer Kristy Furgiuele, had even more fun. "McSteamy was checking my butt out," Furgiuele told Cruz.

Wearing a snug gray skirt, she repeatedly had to walk past Wilson and Dane, who plays Dr. Mark Sloan, on Grey's Anatomy. Each time, he checked her out. Twenty-one times to be exact. "It was awesome," she said. "That's all a girl can hope for, to have McSteamy checking you out."

Not to worry: Dane’s wife, Rebecca Gayheart, visited the set earlier in the week, staying close to her guy.

By the end of Thursday, the stars were finished shooting at the Sentinel and were headed down the street to Big City Grill, a popular restaurant on Las Olas Boulevard, for more excitement.

Want to know the hardest part about maintaining a relationship with Kim Kardashian? She thinks it's putting up with the paparazzi.

Kardashian, 27, admits to SI.com that her boyfriend, New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush, 23, hates the pesky paps but is managing to cope – just as she's learning about football.

"We try to be super low key," Kardashian tells the Extra Mustard column. "We know if we go to an event, we're gonna be photographed, but he'll still say 'ugh, I don't want to go.' "

Besides, she says, "He really only gets annoyed when we're out and about and we get followed."

Part of the Job

Since part of Kardashian's job – starring on the second season of her reality show, Keeping up with the Kardashians – is being trailed by cameras, she says they've kept his involvement in the show to a minimum.

"He's such a big part of my life that you can't not be on the show if you're in my life," she says. "I'm glad we filmed the show during his season, because he was only on every now and then."

As for her supporting his career, she reveals the sport is new to her. "I'm a Saints fan and I'm a Reggie fan. I'm just becoming a football fan," she says. And she doesn't mind that the gridiron is his No. 1 priority.

"I definitely think we get along because my work is so important to me right now and football is so important to him," she says. "We both know what's important."

• Every artist has his muse. For Nicholas Weist, that would be Justin Timberlake, whose music and good looks inspired "If I Told You You Were Beautiful Would You Date Me on the Regular?" at New York's Oliver Kamm 5BE Gallery. Open for one night only, the exhibit featured everything from sculpture to photography and site-specific installations. As White told MTV News, "[The show] functioned like a gallery-sized fan letter." Too bad he missed Valentine's Day.

• He may be a hard rocker, but the Velvet Revolver's Slash admits to having a soft spot for some contemporary R&B and rap music – along the lines of Rihanna's "Umbrella." Also, "There's a song by Kanye West called 'Stronger' that I like. That's a great riff, and would have made a great rock record. You might not think it, but I can hear through it." With encouragement like that, West is bound to go far.

• Rapper Remy Ma (real name: Remy Smith) faces up to 25 years in prison after being convicted of assault, weapons possession and coercion after shooting a woman in the stomach while arguing over $3,000 last year, Reuters reports. Smith's attorneys argued the shooting was accidental.

• Illness has brought the postponement of the Allman Brothers Band's stand of shows at New York's Beacon Theatre this year. According to reports, Gregg Allman has been recovering from treatments for Hepatitis C and needs more time before taking the stage again. Show promoter Live Nation promises the shows will be rescheduled.

Jamie Lynn Spears took another step toward marriage and motherhood Thursday – registering for gifts at Babies R Us.

Spears, who turns 17 on April 4, drove 80 miles to Baton Rouge from her home at the Serenity mansion in Kentwood, La., was reportedly accompanied by her cousin, and, "somebody called ahead to say they were coming in," a source told PEOPLE.

Reportedly flashing an engagement ring on her left hand, Spears also was sporting a shirt that read "The Rumors Are True" as she and her cousin both registered for gifts at the store, according to sources.

Casey Aldridge, 18, the baby's father, is listed as her "co-registrant" and the "event date" listed is July 10. Spears added the message: "Thank you for supporting us during this special time."

The Zoey 101 star's choices ranged from a $1.49 teething ring to a $300 car seat. Other requests include an ultrasound frame, a Cookie Monster bath towel and a Baby Neptune Ocean Gym. Spears was careful not to select any pink or blue items, instead opting for sage-green terry cloth changing-pad covers and receiving blankets decorated with Disney characters such as Winnie the Pooh and Tigger.

Meanwhile, Olsen stayed deep in conversation with friend Derek Blasberg – tucked away in the back – and 21 star Jim Sturgess stuck close with his girlfriend, Mickey O'Brien. Later, the crowd moved to Submercer, a tiny subterranean bar that guests could enter from inside the restaurant – continuing the celebrations late into the night.

Madonna Will Sing 'Like A Virgin' – For $30 Million

Madonna Will Sing 'Like A Virgin' – For $30 Million | Justin Timberlake, Madonna
She may be heading out on tour in the fall – but don't expect to hear Madonna sing some of her biggest hits ever again.

"I'm not sure I can sing 'Holiday' or 'Like A Virgin' ever again," the singer tells New York's Z100-FM in an interview scheduled to air Friday. "I just can't – unless somebody paid me like $30 million or something. [Like if] some Russian guy wants me to come to the wedding he's going to have to a 17-year-old, you know it." (Listen to the full interview here.)

As she prepares to release her latest album, Hard Candy, on April 29, Madonna also opens up about the music business ("Playing live is not something that people focus on very much," she says) and why she gave Justin Timberlake that now-infamous B-12 shot in the rear end.

On Justin and the Shot: "First of all, I've seen enough butt ... The reason I gave him a B-12 [shot] is because we only had a certain amount of days in the studio and I didn't want him to use that as a lame-ass excuse not to come to work. Okay? It's got nothing to do with butt. I promise you. Listen, I don't need to give him a shot to see his butt. Duh."

On Britney Spears's New Record: "I actually love Britney Spears's new album ... I usually work out to her record. I do a combination of pilates and dance aerobics."

On Her Chances If She Were On American Idol: "I went to a lot of auditions for musical theater and conventional mainstream things – and I always got cut immediately. So I'm pretty sure the same thing would happen to me."
